I enjoyed exploring the Dhamma Kuta Vipassana Meditation Centre and Kadugannawa Tea Factory & Sales Center. The complimentary newspapers were a nice touch, and the 24-hour front desk was handy for all my late-night needs. Free WiFi and parking? Score! The terrace and garden were lovely.
Just loved being pushed to see all the sights. So much fun.

The young couple running this establishment as a first time venture are doing a great job. They go out of their way to please & help you with any difficulties you may have as a traveller. The cleanliness of the rom was remarkable As was value for money (a keen consideration these difficult times!). Breakfast (non -European) was copious and very hearty. We would recommend this guest house to anyone travelling to Kandy.

Put simply, everything about this place was perfect, from the spotlessly clean rooms to the super friendly & helpful owners - I only wished we had stayed here longer. Such a lovely little place at an affordable price! We'd come again in a heartbeat!

Title: Great Family Stay in Kandy!
My children wanted a play area or some form of entertainment for kids within the hotel premises. It would have been great if the villa could have provided some activities or games for families with children.

The hotel is owned by a married couple (Sri Lankan man "Prasanna" & Australian woman "Marissa") & it's named after their lovely 6 years old daughter :) .. It's a new villa, in a quiet area with lovely garden .. Marissa makes a delicious breakfast at the time you prefer .. We stayed there for 2 nights & it felt like home & family :) .. Rooms are lovely, comfy, big enough & clean .. Bathrooms are also clean with hot water available all the time .. They provide a laundry services at a reasonable price .. It's probably 15-20 minutes walk from Kandy Lake, & it's a little bit up a hill .. I do recommend this lovely hotel ..

Arriving at Anna Shanthi Villa, we were immediately greeted with warm hospitality and a delicious cup of coffee. The room was impeccably clean and modern, providing all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was ideal, offering a peaceful setting away from the main road but still within easy reach of Kandy. The staff, especially the manager, went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and assisted us in arranging transportation and recommending local attractions. The breakfast was tasty and served in a cozy atmosphere. our experience at Anna Shanthi Villa was exceptional, and we highly recommend it for a pleasant stay.

The staff was very polite and helpful. We had a good dinner for reasonable price.
We had a very poor sleep, the bed and the mattress were uncomfortable.

The room was very clean and comfortable, newly decorated and with a new modern bathroom. The shower was great and there was always plenty of hot water. The breakfast was excellent (a lot better than we had at some other more expensive places), especially the lovely sausages and the delicious Sri Lankan omelette. There was free wifi throughout. The owner was fantastic - so friendly and helpful, always seeing if we needed anything and making arrangements for taxis and tuktuks and the like. The atmosphere was very welcoming and it was very good value for money. Although there were no views, the location was excellent as it was possible to walk into the town centre (about 15-20 mins) which was a nice scenic stroll along the lake and past the Temple of the Tooth, and the address was easy for tuktuk drivers to find. It only took 5 mins or so to go into town by tuktuk and was very cheap whereas a lot of the other accomodations that are in scenic locations with good views are much further away.
The only negative point was that it was really noisy. The rooms are all near the dining room/reception or kitchen and in the morning you can hear the other guests at breakfast or the staff yelling. We were woken up each night by a phone ringing just outside our door which was really loud. It was a shame as everything else was perfect.

Felt like family, no reason to complain.

The staff were very friendly. The room was modern and clean.
There were many of small ants in the bathroom and one of the bed. It was uncomfortable to sleep with them.

For my purpose the location was very good. It is just a short drive into the city ( 5 minutes) and not too far to the Pallekelle Stadium. The lake is just a stone's throw away - nice for a brisk morning walk. The rooms have LCD screens with built in DVD players - good way to relax in the evening. The staff is extremely helpful - makes you feel very much at home.
Kandy has some very good views but unfortunately there is none of that here

service was excellent from start to finish. family run hotel with no request too great: checked in 3 hours early an was served nice tea in the garden whilst the room was cleaned and beds made. in the evening we were offered DVD`s should we wish to watch in the room (DVD tv in room). We had to check out very early in the morning to get car at 5am and the family provided us with a full cooked breakfast, which was excellent) at 4.30am: a step above and beyond any expectations.
plug point behind bed were very awkward to reach
